Your shop stays on the device

PrivatePOS is a till that does not ask for an account. When you create a shop, the books are written to an encrypted database on that device. The key stays in the device keystore. Agentic AI Labs Ltd does not receive a copy.

That is a product rule, not a slogan. The app is built so a PrivatePOS server is not in the path of a normal sale. Checkout, stock counts, dues, and reports run from the local database, including when the internet is down.

What a backup is

A backup is a .pposbak file in a folder you choose. The app writes it locally. It does not upload it. If you want a second copy, you copy the file yourself. If you lose the 4-digit PIN and you have no backup, that shop cannot be unlocked from our side, because we never had the key.

What still uses the network

The network stays off until you start a job. Pairing a second till uses your own Wi-Fi. Checking for an app update uses the internet. The optional shop assistant uses an API key you provide, and that traffic goes to the provider you picked, not to a PrivatePOS server.

Leave those jobs alone and the sale never leaves the counter.
