One till for every country and shop

PrivatePOS is not a separate app for each country. You choose the country and currency when the shop is created. Prices, receipts, and tax use that currency. The tax line is named for the country: VAT in many places, GST where that is the local name, and sales tax in the United States.

The same install covers a grocery, a restaurant, a pharmacy, a phone shop, a hotel, a salon, a wholesaler, and many other shop types. The shop type turns modules on. A grocery does not have to look at hotel rooms. A hotel does not have to look at a weigh scale.

Language

The till can run in 30 languages. English and Bengali are built in. The other languages use the in-app phrasebook and fall back to English when a line is not translated yet. This website stays in English.

A second screen

Android is the build headed to Google Play. The same product also targets iPhone, iPad, Windows, macOS, and Linux. Two devices on the same Wi-Fi can pair with a QR code and share one set of books. The sync is between those devices. There is no central PrivatePOS ledger.
